Turning Point: Fall of Liberty was created by the now defunct Spark Unlimited and released in February of 2008 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. The beautiful original score was composed by Michael Giacchino, known for so many recognizable pieces ranging from Disney/Pixar's Up, Ratatouille and The Incredibles to J.J. Abrams Lost, Alias and Fringe(one of my favorite TV Shows). He also composed and co-composed for many other video games such as: Call of Duty, Mickey Mania, Medal of Honor, Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction and Black, just to name a few.
The original soundtrack comes in a DVD packaged with the Xbox 360 Collector's Edition of the game. The 14 tracks are in a folder and are untitled. We tagged and then converted them from their original format to FLAC and MP3 to keep compression to a minimum.
I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to get around to listening through this score if it weren't request by you guys. One of the reasons I enjoy music requests, is that it directs me towards music I may have not gotten around to otherwise. Unfortunately, there is a plethora of video game music out there that's drifting to the past and becoming unobtainable—unless you feel like spending hundreds on an auction site for a used copy. We hope to revive interest in a lot of these scores by providing a place, our website, to easily access them and use them for educational or personal use. Thanks for the support and donations you send, all of that goes right back into keeping our site running with additional content.
