Ratchet & Clank (2016) Vinyl Soundtrack

The soundtrack to the phenomenal remake of Ratchet & Clank is available from the art production company iam8bit as a vinyl. I pre-ordered the soundtrack when it was announced and just received my copy a couple of weeks ago. There is no digital version of the vinyl as of yet.. So I decided to record the audio directly from my record player(do a bit of editing for each track), then upload it to the archive with the correct tags and artwork.

This was my first Video Game Vinyl I've ever purchased and I gotta say, it's pretty darn cool. It was packaged well—very slight tear on the bottom corner—and the cover is nicely designed with scenery easily recognizable from the Ratchet & Clank game and Movie. The Vinyl itself is a distinctive translucent orange that looks attractive and certainly stands out from traditional black vinyls. These video game vinyls certainly take up some real estate but are a fun trinket to pick up. The sound quite clear—very few crackles—and the price isn't bad. You can pre-order this for $25 on iam8bits store, along with many other vinyls and memorabilia. They do seem to sell out quickly(sadly, I missed out on the Journey vinyl..) so if there's a vinyl soon to be released that you have your eyes on.. be quick to pre-order!
