A thread for talking about videogame soundtracks in general, so that other Topics won't be misued.
And to start this I want to ask:
-What was your first OST you owned?
In my case it has to be Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 from 2009, which I bought through iTunes. For sure it was during the PS360 era, before I never owned an OST. Quite hard to think about it really 😄
-What Soundtrack cost you the most? Maybe because it is an special edition, or import?
Mine was definitely "Gravity Rush 2" -> 30€ the CD's and 15€ shipping costs from japan to europe, which was worth every penny anyways. Great games!
Catchy bop there. We actually used to have a weekly segment titled "Currently Listening To..." years ago, but like many other things, time would not allow us to continue. If you like Tee Lopes, check out his work on Sonic Mania(one of our nominees in 2017).
I'm listening to a plethora of soundtracks as we review them but recently, I keep coming back to Death's Door by David Fenn. His minimalist approach to writing and not being shy when it comes to experimenting with instruments and melody makes for an enthralling experience. As for a favorite track? Grandma, The Grey Crow, Flooded Fortress, Castle Lockstone, Avarice, Ceramic Manor... Just to name a few!
