Spyro: A Hero's Tail was released for PlayStation 2, GameCube and Xbox in November of 2004.  It was developed by Eurocom Entertainment Software and the soundtrack is composed by Steve Duckworth & Paul Lawler. We've been receiving requests for this soundtrack for some time now and I always see comments online mentioning the quality of the music, so I'm glad we're finally able to upload it.

First, I obtained the MIB and PSS audio files by extracting them from the FILELIST file inside the DATA fold...

We finish off our week-long Video Game Music Award uploads with our selection for the 2018 Original Game Score of the Year. This year had many fantastic original scores from the video game world and as I've mentioned before, choosing the nominees—let alone the winner—is never easy an task. Over the course of the year, with each soundtrack release and numerous plays of each score, minds are changed and the nominees are changed. We review them, discuss their compositions and compare them. There ar...

The hard work is finally over, we've finished our picks for the best video game music of 2018. Just as we've done last year, we'll upload a new award video each day until our final Original Game Score of the Year Award is uploaded. Once the videos are uploaded, we'll enable the award page for 2018 on our site to archive our nominees and winners. We wait to do this because rather than just skim our choices for the year, we encourage each of you to hear and see our nominees considering most of the...

The 2018 Game Awards are here! We enjoy watching the show each year and seeing the many faces behind the games we play. The music portion of the show is our favorite(not a surprise to many of you) and It's never a let down. I can't exactly say that Mick Gordon's performance for 2016's DOOM has ever been topped but the other performances were none the less enjoyable to watch. There are always surprises, such as world premier game reveals and exclusive interview with industry veterans. Each year w...

Lara Croft GO is developed by Square Enix Montreal and was released on August 27 of 2015 for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, macOS and Linux. It's a simple but challenging puzzle game with an isometric camera view. The goal of each level is to reach the end but getting there will involve throwing switches, opening doors, pushing pillars, climbing, crawling and manipulating enemies movements in order to get past them or trick them into helping you...

Super Sanctum TD was released on May 9, 2013 for Windows PC. It's created by Coffee Stain Studios and is a tower defense spin off of their well received Sanctum games. I'm a big fan of both Sanctum games, having over 30 hours clocked into both Sanctum and Sanctum 2, I knew I'd enjoy Super Sanctum TD once I came across it on Steam. It's a traditional tower defense game with simple retro style graphics with an isometric view. It contains most, if not all of the enemies found in both Sanctum games...

October is finally here. The leaves are beginning to fall, the weather's getting cooler and Harvest decor is popping up around the neighborhood. It's a great time to play a few horror games in between the horror movies you'll undoubtebly watch but It's also a great time to appreciate some of the Halloween Themed Video Game Music out there. While we don't have a new playlist for this year, we do have both Volume One and Volume Two of our Halloween Playlists on our Youtube Channel. We personally c...

October 2, 2018

Just a quick reminder we wanted to put out there, we've moved up the deadline for our awards this year to October 31. The reason being that last year, we accepted a handful of soundtrack submissions into late November and it felt like we had to speed listen through the soundtracks to review them, which we don't like to do because it's easy to overlook a track if we lose our focus on the music and are instead focusing on trying to cram in as many soundtracks as possible to get everything finished...
